Yellow Rice
Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups basmati or jasmine rice
5 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/3 teaspoon turmeric
Preparation:
In a large pan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. cover and reduce heat to low. cook until all liquid is absorbed, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and fluff. Let stand about 10 minutes before serving.
Makes about 5 cups.
