Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
3 cloves garlic minced. 4 T. olive oil 1-2 lb. can crushed tomatoes 1/2 C. red wine 1 tsp. oregano 2 tsp. sweet basil Thyme-pinch Rosemary-pinch 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. sugar. 1 Cup. water. 1 small onion, minced
Preparation:
Cook onion in oil until soft. Add garlic and continue cooking for a few minutes. Add in tomatoes, herbs, salt, pepper and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour or more. Use as a pasta sauce or as a base for seafood dishes. If you like you may sprinkle in some hot red pepper for more heat!
